Students face financial shortfall of up to $30,000 to complete Massey University Bachelor of Aviation

Massey University's Bachelor of Aviation is the only Bachelor's Degree in Aotearoa not fully funded under the Student Loan Scheme, with students facing a financial shortfall of up to $30,000 across the course of their degree. R1 News Reporter Quintin Jane speaks to Ashok Poduval, CEO of the Massey School of Aviation, on the sometimes prohibitive cost of the programme.

NZPA calls for better legal protections for migrant sex-workers in Aotearoa

Nico Penny interviewed Dame Catherine Healy (a New Zealand sex workers' rights activist) about repealing Section 19 of the PRA which targets migrant workers. The current legislature affects the safety and legality of migrant workers, which the NZPA seeks to change.

Seb interviewed Warren Tate, Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Otago and world-renowned expert on ME/CFS (Chronic fatigue syndrome). Chronic fatigue syndrome has been neglected by the medical community for years. Now researchers suggest that Long Covid could be a sub-type of ME/CFS. Seb Rice-Walsh speaks to Warren Tate to discuss what this surge in interest in ME/CFS means for people withthe condition and the impact that post-viral illness will have on the medical system.
