Today we had Angus McKay in from the Biochemistry department, he was talking about his work on designing a diagnosis tool for chronic fatigue syndrome. We also talked about his progression from military fighting man, to teacher, and then to Dunedin for PhD study. In the second hour, Alex Sims from the department of International Studies came in to talk about her Masters research. This is a multidisciplinary program me drawing from sources across politics, economics, law, and peace and conflict studies.

He detailed his work on studying the effects that climate change may have on Nepal's water use. We also dabbled on his experience of the country itself. Later in the show we had Brandon Gantt visit from Science Communication, we talked about what drew him all the way from the United States to study in New Zealand. Between us, we talked over issues relating to science and education.

We heard from a social anthropologist on current attitudes toward migration in New Zealand, an archeaologist on the ancient stories behind migration from the Pacific and a political scientist on the policies that help integrate new migrants in to Denmark and Sweden.
