Radio One 91fm is your radio station, home of the intrepid audiophile since 1984. One channel, twenty-four hours a day. We take you to the school and bank your cheque with all the freshest music, the latest news, and the skinny on the
places to be in Dunedin.
Radio One's purpose for being on this earth is to provide an alternative to the rubbish that is mainstream commercial radio. By embracing diversity, giving it a wee hug and a pat on the back, The One is here to educate, inform and entertain.
In an era where commercial radio networks continue to be closely formatted and programmed from distant centralised bases, Radio One appreciates the refreshing bNet philosophy of respecting each station's individuality. What does all that jargon mean? Well, it's never boring, for one, and - bar complaints lodged with the BSA - we pretty much do whatever we like, all from the snug safety of the Radio One offices.
As Dale Kerrigan always says "Location! Location!" Location!" Which is handy, because Radio One 91FM is located on the Otago University Campus, which is handy because it means they are also well versed in youth fashion. Neon, in case you're wondering.
